New Office and New Work Habits Wednesday, Mar 26 2008

Moved into the office with spasticrobot this week and it is working out beautifully. I am really trying to make my job Mon - Fri and 50 hours per week. So far it is going really good since I am in a nerd office space with other nerds I am noticing a higher level of productivity. That is a good thing since I am trying to recover my finances from my 2 week hiatus and I am also trying to move into a new home. I am commuting from the NS every morning at 6 am and leaving around 6 pm so you can imagine how urgent it is to move back to nola asap.

After thoughts of Arizona Tuesday, Mar 18 2008

The trip to the Arizona hot Springs was epic, if you have never been, you should check it out. It is 5 miles south of the Hoover Dam and about 20 miles south of Vegas. It is beautiful and clean and the hike is difficult but not a killer. One suggestion, BRING WATER.

COVLUV Tuesday, Mar 18 2008

I really forgot how much of community exists in the covluv. I went yesterday to get annia-o worked on. This is what was done:

  • Look for oil leak
  • find squeaks and fix
  • check transmision

Total cost $10
Went to get tire fixed. Cost $5 plus $5 tip.

Annie-O made it Monday, Mar 17 2008

We made it back Friday without any major issues (except for a crack in the windshield). She is in the shop now getting some squeaks and leaks fixed. Me and Jess are planning on getting back to NOLA by the end of the week hopefully and I can not wait. We a are residing in the covluv until then.

Part 1 of our adventure has come to an end. It was amazing and I will post about it when I get time. Now we prepare for part 2 of our adventure. After haggling for a week with a dealership, we got a sweet trooper II for a little more than $1000. Her name is Annie-O and I hope she will make it to NOLA without any major issues. We took her on a four wheel drive adventure yesterday to put her through a test. I have done alot of four wheelin in Louisiana but never like this. We climbed a few thousand feet with grades over 20% of rock, snow and mud and she was without a doubt a trooper. We are heading to Sedona tomorrow to meet up with Mike Mirelli, and ol friend from the cuvluv. Next we are heading to amirillo Texas and then to Dallas to meet up with Excene and then to NOLA. Wish us luck.
