Day 12 of 28 Monday, Jun 18 2007

Here are some before and after photos of the Lone Star project. It has been a tone of work but it is starting to pay off. I have used it to occupy my time with the non-smoking and non-drinking.
I fished so much last week that my wrist hurt, I have cuts on my hands and I got way too much sun. I caught enough fish to do a fish fry at the R, keep a ton for myself and give some to someone I did not know. We are still running into small problems with the boat but damn it is fun. We got it moving preety fast now and we set it up so that all the space is used effeciently. We know that we can fish 3 people in the boat without any trouble. That is pretty good considering it is a closed bow and only 14′.

Day eight of 28 Thursday, Jun 14 2007

Finally I had good sleep. I needed it. Not sleeping put in a bad mood for the day and I wanted to smoke more than ever. I did not though and today I am happy for it.
I am going for a small ride today. It has been ages since my last one.

Day seven of 28 Wednesday, Jun 13 2007

I have yet to sleep because I worked on the boat till about 2ish and the Lala got home about 3 am from her adventures so I decided to stay up and go fishin this morning. Well first let me start off by saying the boat is so fuckin hot I can not even explain it. (Pictures up later this week) We removed the windshield and added white textured floor paint, epoxy is no joke, it took me 30 minutes to remember what day of the week it was. ( I also had 1/8 ” layer of epoxy in my nose. ) We added wood trim in the inside along with a wood control stay and a wood steering wheel center piece. It is spanish cedar and oh so pretty. I used a de-oxidiser and wow does that stuff work. WhooooHoooo.
So, back to the boat. I was so excited I knew I would have to stay up. So I packed the boat and headed to seabrook.

Day six of 28. Tuesday, Jun 12 2007

Work is the hardest challenge. I relied on those smoke breaks. I feel better today than I did yesterday. I worked really hard on the boat yesterday and was in bed early. I painted the first coat of the floor on this morning (7 a.m.) and the second coat at lunch. One quart of epoxy paint and a litre of hardener is $117.87 !!!. It does look good though. We are putting in all of the wood bits today and I am going to finish de-oxidizing the top shell. Walt is going to help me bend some plexi for the windshield and then we are done.
