preparing to eat some bird Wednesday, Nov 23 2005

BIRD
Thanksgiving is by far my favorite holiday for several reasons and the most important of those reasons is that I get to eat as much bird as I want. Tomorrow Lara, Jim and I are heading to my siblings house and there will be a cajun fried turkey waiting there to be gobbled. Lara, being an herbivore, is on the search for a tofurkey.

Now back in the day at the Columbia Street Health Food Store we did some experiments on what can be done with a tofurkey. The results were disturbing and conclusive that this false poultry was not to be eatin’ by carnivores. It does not taste like turkey and has a texture something like a softer spam.

walk/dont walk Thursday, Nov 17 2005

WARNING: To those of you who are returning to NOLA as a new driver (You didnt drive a car pre Katrina) you will have this amazing urge to drive when the walk/dont walk sign changes to walk.

fever, rock and roll animation Wednesday, Nov 16 2005

I spent all day yesterday in bed as I had a bug going around. That is really odd for considering I never get sick. I was acting like a big baby. Nothing that nyquil, sushi, a good girlfriend and cartoon network couldnt handle but it still sucked. It did give me time to think about the content for my new venture. It will be a mix of metal, rock and roll, stoner rock and animation. I have 2 months to do a 2 minute 3D animation. No problem as long as I dont sleep or have a social life. I am ready for a new project though and this one is right up my ally.

Dr. Bob and back to NOLA Monday, Nov 14 2005

I spent the entire weekend helping Dr. Bob at the Three Rivers Art Festival. I was kinda worried at first about hangin out with Dr Bob since we can both get unruly. But because of the tiresome work at the show and the lack of places to go tear up it was basically no problem. He is the wildman from the swamp and has more stories than mother goose.
Today we are moving all of our newly aquired stuff to NOLA and we are throwing out the old shit as we go. The devastation was definatly an invitation to rebirth. Even though our belongings were unharmed, we purchase some furniture because we did not know what we going back to. We got a new bedroom set (looks like it should be at a bread and breakfast all matchy and shit) and some other needed goods. I am excited and overwhelmed with the changes but at the same time I am ready to embrace it.

Ohhhh man Thursday, Nov 10 2005

GUN
I am not much of a game player although I work with games daily it is not what I decide to do with my free time. But I have been waiting for the release of this game for a while and I am excited about it. The warning label says: Blood and Gore, Intence Violence, Sexual Themes, Strong Language, Use of Alcohol. That is not why I am excited though. It is the first time I get to play a video game that relates to childhood imagination. I would always pretend to be from the old west with a six shooter and my trusty horse. I was so into the old west that by the time I was 6 I had a dog named bullet and a horse named Trigger. Miami, Panama, Nola and Halloween Wednesday, Nov 2 2005

                    storm
Spent a week traveling to Miami o help with the storm and then took a stroll through feeder bands to meet Lara in Panama City.

It was cold but we managed to have a really good time. We went to a pub that simply said PUB on the front. It turned out to be an old fisherman Bar called Patches Pub. We were the only people in the place that were under 50. It was awesome, we stayed at Chateau Ghetto on the strip but it turned out to be really cool and old.

All I have to say is fuck The Saints right now. It was too much effort with little or no return.

But oh Halloween was amazing. The Mollys Parade, the people, the music everything was a reminder of the life that the city is reviving.
