Ghouls Night Out Friday, Oct 29 2004

Its 2 days away and the air has already become electric. Preperations have begun. The dead are begining to stir and brews are being mixed. Its a special time in NOLA. It is both appreciated and celebrated.

It is a well-known fact that this city will take care of its own. If she loves you then she will make sure that you are taken care of. She will protect you and tell you some of her secrets. NOLA is a beautiful creature but like most beautiful creatures she has a deadly bite. NOLA’s venom presents itself in many different forms such as addiction, crime, disrespect and melancholy to name a few. It appears that NOLA turns on those that abuse her gifts. She turns on those who have worn out their welcome in one way or another. Once on her bad side there is no pardon from her bite.

Chupacabra? Thursday, Oct 28 2004

Well stranger things have come out of that San Antonio area. Second one in two months, is it for real? I am sure we will find out soon enough. I kinda wanted the Chupacabra to have wings.

Lance Radio, The Grudge and Going for a Ride Wednesday, Oct 27 2004

This was a suprising article to read. I cant help but laugh at this notion. I dont see LA as a radio host. I guess he can have Cheryl Crow come on as a guest. I went to go see The Grudge last night with Lara, Miguel and Michelle. It is a remake of ju-on and Sam Raimi does an awesome job with it. I recommend everyone seeing it. I am taking a half day from work today to go on an extended bike ride with Lara. It is just easier to ride in the middle of the day on a weekday. It has predictable traffic and less loaded people in chunks of steel.

John Deere/iRobot Tuesday, Oct 26 2004

John Deere annouced that they are teaming up with iRobot to produce a 9-foot-long semi-autonomous battlefield vehicle. Now I was thinking, why John Deere? Well, this could change the way that farm work is done. It could be done autonomously. That would completely change the lifestyle of the farmer. Would he still where overalls and boots?

Monday, Oct 25 2004

I had a great weekend despite recovering from a sinus infection. On Friday I noticed that fotolog had posted a pic of me and Lara. I stayed home Friday night to make sure that I was over this sinius thing. We woke up on Saturday morning and went to breakfast and then went on a bike ride. We got home just in time for me to go to PlanB, I spent the day working on this weird 80s road bike. I used cotton tape which was weird but we have to use what PlanB can afford and it actually came out nice. I went home, ordered some grub and watched some good HORROR flics. I went to meet Lara at around midnight and we went out for a while then came home.
Sunday, I woke up and headed to PlanB to take photos for Kids Day. It was the last day so the kids who came to all of the classes and completed the community service work were able to bring home a free bike that they built free of charge. It included a bike light, bike lock and a helmet. The kids were really excite to show off their new rides. I went to the R Bar to go and watch the Saints actually win a football game. They kinda looked like a team. I went home after 10 cokes and some Fiorellis fried chicken to watch the 2nd game to the World Series. Here are some personal facts about me and baseball. I love to play baseball, it is a great past time but I can not watch it on TV. It is so boring. So I go home with my laptop and the remote control, giving in to my ADHD by switching from Horror movies surfing the net and occasionally watching the game a little. I am not a baseball fan but I want to see the Red Sox break the curse and that dude Schilling is a beast for being able to play with a torn tendon.

Not for the faint at heart. Friday, Oct 22 2004

This is a flash video I found that shows some heart breaking graphic scenes to help stop the cruelty that some pitbulls have to endure. It is rough so only open it if you are prepared. It is hard to believe what a person will do to corrupt sucj an amazing animal. Pitbulls

Robots and Drag Queens Wednesday, Oct 20 2004

Watching this happen is like the future coming true. As a kid I always was amazed by robots and wondered about their personality. It is getting so close to the old iRobot and Cherry 2000 days. I am ready and waiting. I dont have a lawn or carpet and dont need an entertainer but when the right robot comes along I will be first in line.

Key West is trying to go moral on its locals and tourist. I mean it is one of the only places that someone can be who they want without ridicule. Its their free ways that makes Key West special. Thay have an equivelent to Bourbon st. but with less rules. Where are people going to go?

After Party at The Mermaid Lounge Tuesday, Oct 19 2004

After the wedding we went to the Mermaid Lounge. We rented it out so that our friends could DJ. Lets just say it got out of hand fast. We danced for hours with everybody was cutting loose like it was Mardi Gras. Me and Lara left at around 2 a.m. and I think everyone else left at 4. Here are some Pics.

Dinner at Adolfo’s Tuesday, Oct 19 2004

Lara and I had a great dinner with miguel and Michelle last night at Adolfo’s . We have been trying to hang out with them with no luck, so it was awesome to finally get to do it. Through the middle of dinner Miguel said, out of the blue, “You know what stands out about you and Lara is that y’all are best friends.” I didnt know how to reply except for a “thanks”. It did get me thinking though. Is that rare in a relationship to want to hang out with your partner all the time? I mean I still go hang out with the boys and all but for the most part I am always with Lara and make sure that she is always in my plans. We do everything together. I think that in a way it is special when I look at other relationships and look at my previous relationship.
