Back at work Friday, Sep 17 2004

I am back at work and actually enjoying it. I put 512 of ram in my laptop and I am putting a crazy video card in my work box. I cleaned my desk and office. I am not leaving NOLA for a while so I am trying to get a new perspective on what my job really is. I am excited and rejuvenated. I am not sure on what I am going to do about any of this past crap that wont seem to go away but I am not going to let it bother me. I will do what I have set out to do and thats it.

Court. Thursday, Sep 16 2004

Well I went to court on Monday and thankfully did not have any repercussions for missing Friday. I had my airline ticket that proved I was in Austin at the time of court. I am current on all of my classes and I dont have to go back till November. Nice. I did get some disturbing news from my P.O. I will not speak of that on this blog because it is a public blog. I set up a private blog for that kind of stuff.

Ivan, no problem for NOLA Thursday, Sep 16 2004

We lost electricity for about an hour and that was it. I did however have one hell of a buzz. I drank many beers and tequila and absinthe and whisky and vodka. I got up early this morning and removed all of the storm boards and sweat all the alcohol out. I got caught up with work and now I am trying to catch up on all of my internet work.

Hurricane Ivan Wednesday, Sep 15 2004

With Ivan making a beeline for NOLA we did all of our shopping for supplies yesterday. Our list included: Lots of Water (15 Gallons), canned food, fruit, batteries, 6 bags of ice, 1 bottle of Jack Daniels, 1 bottle of Suaza, beer, wine, smokes, candles and personal needs. We also boarded up the windows and tied everything down. Our entire block is staying. People are a little scared because of the size of this storm and the possibilty of this being “The One”. Later today I will bag up my computers and we will bag up all important papers. If the storm seems to being heading straight for us we will begin to raise everything off of the floor. The house is almost 4 feet above th street but with the 15′ surge we could have even more water. I will try and post again before I bag the computer up.

Game Geeks Thursday, Sep 9 2004

Well I am writing from the floor of the womans game conference. It is a buissiness oriented crowd with tchnical talks and keynotes. The mobile game scene seems be the most prominant. I am working my stuff and getting my job done. I checked into the Embassy suite today which has got to be better than the Radisson. This is the only show that I have ever been to that there is a brewing company ( Inedependent Brewing of Austin ) has a booth serving free beer since 11 a.m. I am not drinking much these days but it will be interesting to see how the productivity and drinking relates. Normally most buissiness is done when after the show at pubs or parties. This may make this show a great success on the buissiness end or a disaster if everyone starts acting like frat boys. I do have a gripe about outsourcing to other countries. I had a meeting today with a outsourcing firm, which I did not know before the meeting from Russia. He straight told me that he can do the same work fora much cheaper price. I listened to his speach the politoly told hm that we were not interested. I just dont think that it is right. I know that it is the future of this industry but I would like to see local artist get the work. I am attending a Alias party and then a Alien Brain party. It will be interesting I am sure.

1,000,000 bats Tuesday, Sep 7 2004

Well after trying several times to get out of coming to Austin, here I am. Once I got here Iwas happy to be here. I love this town. It is untexas. I watched the bats tonight which were in full force. It was over a million and they stretched for as far as the eye could see. I am getting ready for the womans game conference tomorrow. I am kinda excite to see what this is all about. I never go to one of these as a attendee I am usually a vendor or a teacher. So it will be nice. I really wanted to get a hefty start on my painting but it will have to wait till I get back.
Monday me and Lara spent the day fixing the house and painting the back room. It is starting to look hot. I wanted to be able to use the house this week but it will have to wait till this weekend.
Oh Yeah. Dagger is a bitch!!!

Vuelta Sunday, Sep 5 2004

The Vuelta has begun and of course the posties have started in dominate fashion. The TTT was taken by the blue train by more than 30 seconds. I am giving my over all GC prediction to Tyler Hamilton. After his gold medal performance in the ITT at the summer games I think he is tha man to beat.

Talkin shit… Saturday, Sep 4 2004

Well it seems as if people can not quit talkin shit. If something needs to be said then let it be said to me. I would have more respect for somebody comments if they were said to my face. My motives with school are not a underhanded way to cause havic on somebodys well being. I am there to complete my education. As I said in my “ring” post, I do everything I can to not cross paths with Christine. I dont want to see her and I would rather that she were to just not exist. We do share a city together and we do attend the same school. Her as a employee and me as a student. Although I would rather take mt intermediate class in the hypermedia department.I did not, so that I would not be anywhere near her. That is all…

Decadence Friday, Sep 3 2004

It is here. There is no stopping it. It took me twice as long to ride to work this morning. I had to dodge so many couples. I will hide when I need to hide this weekend and only go to the safe spots. Basically nowhere near Bourbon. May the force be to all of those who are in the service industry.

The ring. Friday, Sep 3 2004

Well I am free of the ring that was to bound me to someone for the rest of my life. I did not hold onto it on purpose, I just kinda forgot about it. It is funny to me since it was a cause of so much trouble and pain. I sold it to a friend of mine who proposed to his long time girlfriend the night before last. I am attending a voodoo ritual to remove any bad spirits from the ring. I was informed that my hand would be cut in the process. I thought about it a little and decided that is much better than the pain the ring has already caused. I am glad that it is gone and I am glad it is going to be a ring that will bond my friends love for each other. It fit Heather perfectly and I think that all of the trouble I went through to get the ring to fit Christine (and it never really did) I am sure that it is a sign.
With each day that passes I feel more and more like Christine was just a bad dream. I dont have to ever really see her except by accident on a bike ride or something like that. She is a creature of habit so it makes it pretty easy to avoid her. I dont have any grudge against her, I just want to act like I never knew her.
