This could change the direction in which we are heading. Although it is true that space is comprised primarly by ether, it would still turn space exploration into the hands of private companys.

I’m not so sure that privatizing space exploration is a bad thing. I think it makes the most sense at this moment. The government simply doesn’t have the means to pour a lot of money into it. Also, if companies become competitive then innovation will occur. That’s the entire motivation behind the X-Prize. I’m really excited about this new chapter in our cultural evolution.

Dont get me wrong. I think putting into the hands of private companys is this best thing for space exploration.
