Back from another trip to L.A. and am I gald to be home. I had a great time with Lara and I was able to meet her brother. We went out with Jason and Excene on the first night there it ended up being a pretty weird night but fun anyway. We laid by the pool at our hotel and had some Pacifico Clara while we relaxed in the sun. We then went and saw the Body World exhibit at the California Museum of Science. It was amazing and creepy. We were speechless for a few hours after the we left. We took the metro back to the hotel and ended up doing a random stop in the chicano hood to get some booze and some tacos. We were offered both weed and heroin within 15 minutes but I felt relativily safe though.We used the Metro to get around in L.A. which was the fastest and cheapest way to get around. On Moday we went and checked in to the a seedy hotel on Wilshire and went to the Discreet party which was pretty awesome. Lara got to meet all of my nerd friends and have some drinks on discreet. We ended up on the roof of Standard Hotel chilling out with some friends from Portland. It was a reallt good night. Her brother met us in the morning and brought her to visit the rest of her family. On tuesday I did my job and then went to electronic theatre that night. Which was pretty inspiring. I went and had dinner with a friend of mine that works for super 78. I had an early night which I needed. Wednesday I did my job and then went to dinner with Discreet and headed ovewr to the blur party which had about 2000 people attending and dj chrystal method spinning. It was great time. Lara met me in the morning and we went and had breakfast before she had to go to the airport. Thursday I did the siggraph thing then Excene picked me up to meet up with Jason for a fun filled little adventure. We woke up the next morning to go surfing at sunset point. It was great. L.A. is a fun place to visit but I could never live there.
