Dreaming. Wednesday, Jul 28 2004

I cant stop dreaming of riding my bike. Both when sleeping and when I am awake at work I just want to go for a ride. I need to experience the world on my bicycle instead of through this computer. I guess what I am saying is that I am need of a bike adventure, one that last more than a day. The time is coming when I will do that. I have to.

plan B Sunday, Jul 25 2004

I did some time at plan B this weeklend. It may have been the highlight of my weekend. I am trying to learn where everything is and trying to remeber the what goes where and how of bike mechanics. I only go on saturdays but maybe later on I will be able to put in more time.

Workin’ hard, playin’ hard and livin’ life Thursday, Jul 15 2004

I am preparing for siggraph by creating a demo reel and making new dynamic use of plugins. It is frustrating and fun at the same time. I am loving the constant movement in my life and it is what I thrive on. Work all day, ride after work, go watch Le tour and talking with my friends. A couple of times a week I add in a little rehab which I was able to convince the judge to make a little easier. I am fully acclimated to living downtown and since cetain folks have moved out of the hood I feel as if it is home.
I am heading to Oregon on Monday with Lara to spend four days having a little work/vacation. I only have to teach for an hour a day and the wole event is only for 3 hours. In the past when I attempted to bring someone with me on job related travel turned out to be a disaster but this time the person I am bringing is much easier to get along with.

recovery Monday, Jul 12 2004

Well I spent the weekend with bikes on my mind. I was helping Lara recover from her bicycle wreck which included convincing her to go for a short ride on Saturday. She has a concusion and is still a little dizzy and is getting severe headaches. I dont want to push her to hard to get back on the bike but I also dont want her to lose confidence in her riding ability.
I found a full sponsor for the Tour for Cure team. Jim III inc. decided to give us $1100 to cover 4 riders. I have to meet with him on tuesday to close a jersey design.
I spent Sunday in the bikeshop working on a pissy bottom bracket. My bike got a fine tune up. I also got some hookups on a sponsor for Tour d’ Afrique which will be for 2006. I am definately doing it and it seems that the money will not be that hard to get. I am in contact with a couple of companies who are interested in the idea.

4th of july weekend. Thursday, Jul 8 2004

DSC01182Full of action is all I can say to start. Lara and I went to Pals early on Sunday to take headshots of a comedian friend who is leaving to make it big. We got Jonahs house at around 2 pm and started chowing down on the bbq. A stormed quickly brewed up and caused mahem by shutting down the power. We went back to Pals to get some ac.
I got sick of being at Pals and went downtown to watch the fireworks. They were awesome. I made it a calm night and had a good nights sleep. The next morning I woke up and headed to get some sushi. Lara and I headed to jazzland to meet my family for a fun filled day with my nieces and nephews (total of 5). We did the park to its fullest riding every ride we could. We ended the Jazzland day by making out on the ferris wheel at sunset. We rushed to the movies to check out spiderman 2. Man that movie is amazing. Sam Raimey did a great job. It is the best comic book movie I have ever seen.

The Blue Train Wednesday, Jul 7 2004

blue_train.tThe Blue Train has once again dominated the team time trial. There is no stopping these guys. I dont think Lance can be stopped this year. As long as he stayed healthy and out of any crashes, I think he will take the record. Tyler is in second place with a strong showing by his new Phonak team. Those American boys are kicking euro ass.
