rehab part II Wednesday, Jun 30 2004

Tomorrow morning I have a date with a different rehab. This is getting interesting. I am not really minding it. I am a very social person so it is in a way what I enjoy. I am sure it will get old after a while but I still really dont mind doing it.
I waiting to get off work so that I can go to bicycle rehab. It is my favorite of my rehabs.

Rehab. Tuesday, Jun 29 2004

well off to my date with rehab. I am excited to check this out. I would rather be doing something else but wtf.
Monday I am going to fishing rehab. At least I know I can bring home some dinner from that one.

what a weekend Sunday, Jun 27 2004

afterwell well well, this has been an exciting weekend. I took a 1/2 day off at work to document Lara getting her hair chopped off for Locks of Love. We spent the afternoon listening to the rain.

I met up with my sister later that night and had some fun talking to her. I had some DV taking of me for an art group from Tuscan. I got home around 3am and woke up early to go on a ride on Sat. Lara and I did a 20 mile ride in the pouring rain. We then went to a messenger bbq on the westbank. We took the ferry over at 2 and got back at 4:30. It was fun but I know it was going to get ugly later. It takes a certain personality to choose to be a NOLA bike messenger and that personality is extreme. I went home and worked till about 1 am then went and had coctail with Lara after she got off work.
We woke up on Sunday morning and went a longer bike ride. We made up a new route which took us through City Park, the lakefront, then back through City Park to Canal then we went through the downtown to get home. It was wonderfull. I went and did some work for bike gang and now I am at home working for Turbo Squid. Ahhhhhhh.

Whats on my plate… Tuesday, Jun 22 2004

Well, I am working on several projects at the moment. Friday night bikegang.org will go up live. I am working on some photos for the project with Jonah. I am also working on some pic sets for this blog. I am preparing for Siggraph and preparing to teach a class at Oregon 3D. I also learning a new software that I am not allowed to talk about. I am also trying to keep up with my cycling and trying to mantain my new groove. More to come.

Back at home. Monday, Jun 21 2004

After a long work week I am back in NOLA. I flew in on Friday and went to the North Shore to prepare for Tour de Louisiana. I woke up early on Sat. to warm up for the TT and to test out my bike since it was completely rebuilt. I had a solid TT. It was not nearly as fast as I wanted but I felt good on the bike and I didnt blow up. I pushed myself hard but I did not go overboard. I then went and made soem tweeks to my bike and drove up to Husser to do the Road Race. It was probably the worst group of guys I have ever raced with. They were all over the road and did not show a bit of race etiquet. I had a strong race. I stayed up front and bridged a couple of breaks to keep everything together so that Dave would have a chance for the sprint. We decided before the finish that winning was not that important because of the possibilty of crashing due to these poor riders. I skipped the crit on Sunday because I was exausted and I just didnt want to ride with those guys again. I slept in and spent the morning with Lara before heading to Abita for the UCM bike fest. It was awesome. I was amazed on how many bike geeks live in the area. I wanted to buy a bike but I know that I do not have the room.

Baltimore Thursday, Jun 17 2004

I am not sure how I feel about this place. I have to do a 45 minute demo today so I want get much time to get out much. I went and ate with the guys from Discreet last night. It was way over priced but the food was ok. I had crab cakes because I head that that is what the Baltimore specialty is. They were ok. Not enough spice for my likin though.

Austins congress street bats. Tuesday, Jun 15 2004

bats Imagine 800,000 bats living under a bridge that is the size of a city block deciding to leave at the same time. It is basically the population of New Orleans leaving for a hurricane. Bats are much more efficient on there cooperation skills and they dont drive. It was a sight. I have never been here at the right time of year to see it.

Staying up and looking excited. Tuesday, Jun 15 2004

Stayed up all night last night working on my demos. It ended up turning out good. I got into using the dynamics engine in max to create atmospheric collisions with the hair plugin. I had to be at a breakfast meeting at 7. So I turned on my happy face and got to work. I setup my demo and now have a little down time before I go on. I have to be social all night so this time alone is a treasure.

Well Well Well Monday, Jun 14 2004

I did not want to leave NOLA this morning to fly to Austin. I did with a little help from miss Lala. I felt like a kid trying to play sick so that I would not have to go to school. I arrived in Austin in much better spirits. I checked into my room and started working on what I am going to say for 30 minutes on Tuesday. I will be ready by morning. That is if I get my voice back. I screamed as loud as I could in utter excitement when the French team beat England yesterday. It was worth it.
I am starting on my first perfomence piece for the colaborated project with Jonah. I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do. I am going to meet up with Sam the butchers little brother tomorrow night. I know that he has done some performence pieces before so I want to get his take on my idea.
